Masayoshi Son’s Softbank has shaken up the investment world with record-breaking $100 billion fund that’s gambling on big stakes in fast-growing tech-driven companies.
The founder of Softbank, a Japanese telecoms and internet firm, has been aggressively buying up the most promising technology startups in the world.
Named the Vision Fund, it will focus on companies that deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning to supercharge every industry from transportation to financial services.
Some of Softbank’s key investment includes a $4.4B stake in WeWork, the co-working space provider, $9.3B in Uber, the transportation network company, $8.2B purchase of ARM Holdings, the mobile, and AI Chip company and many more.

Softbank Vision Fund
First announced in October 2016, its one of the largest technology funds in history.
Son has currently raised $100B.
He plans to raise $100B for a new fund every few years called Vision Fund 2, 3 and 4 and investing $50B a year in startups.
Softbank Minimum Investment
