AI Expertise Startup ProFinda Raises €5.4m

ProFinda is the name and expertise finding is the game. This artificial intelligence (AI) powered platform has just secured a staggering 5.4 million Euros (£4.8 million) from several big names including Nextlaw Ventures, Notion Capital, and Business Angels. The company behind the platform, which shares the same name, says the investment will help businesses find talent and expertise within their organisation.

Because a lot of people get settled into a particular job, they tend to concentrate solely on the activities pertaining to that role. The problem with this is that many employees have other skills and talents that go unnoticed as they’re not used. This is a waste of talent for both companies and the employee. With ProFinda, companies can tap into that unused talent.

The ProFinda AI powered platform keeps a map of all employees skills, expertise, and knowledge across the organization. Then machine learning sets to work matching those that need help with those that are capable of assisting. The AI platform’s been in place since 2011 and already has some big clients under its belt including Tech London Advocates, Thomson Reuters Elite, CloserStill Media, LACE partners, Workforce of the Future Network, and construction firm Multiplex.

“Our work is helping to disrupt the future of work landscape,” said CEO of ProFinda, Roger Gorman. “ProFinda’s latest investment puts us in a powerful position to continue to deliver our fast-paced and ambitious roadmap.” Being able to quickly find the resources you need for a particular job is beneficial for any employer. And if that talent can be found among its existing workforce, then even better!

“With the new investment, we will strengthen our proposition, refine our technology and ensure we continue to build out our impressive and experienced team,” said Gorman. Not being able to find the right talent for the job quickly can seriously damage a company’s performance and culture. ProFinda aims to solve this problem.

As we venture into a more agile working culture, with companies having to find that fine balance between employee engagement and lower costs, it’s clear that something is needed to help bridge those gaps. ProFinda is in a great position to do just that and help companies transform the way they look at and interact with their existing workforce. It will save businesses a great deal of time and money in the long run.
