HPE Integrates Artificial Intelligence to Data Center

An industry-first has been announced by technology giant, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HEP) this week as they launch a new artificial intelligence (AI) recommendation engine.

The new AI platform is called HPE InfoSight and it will be used across the board to predict and prevent issues before they happen.

HPE InfoSight uses advanced AI and machine learning techniques in which to help minimize delays or disruptions to businesses. “HPE InfoSight marks the first time a major storage vendor has been able to predict issues and proactively resolve them before a customer is even aware of the problem,” said Senior Vice President of HPE GM Storage, Bill Philbin.

“As applications increasingly drive today’s businesses, we need to help customers move toward a self-managing IT model. HPE InfoSight enables IT to spend more time on projects that add value to the business rather than on troubleshooting issues.”

HPE InfoSight paves the way for an autonomous data center using the new AI recommendation engine. It can accurately advise IT, staff, how to avoid issues, make the most of what they have, and improve performance levels.

Through machine learning, HPE InfoSight is constantly learning, become smarter and more efficient every day. “InfoSight’s predictive analytics have saved us from potentially impactful issues,” said Justin Giardina, CTO, iland Secure Cloud.

“And the new recommendation engine is phenomenal as it’s making proactive decisions, showing us how we can improve our environment, iland provides 100% availability to our customers, and InfoSight is a huge part in making that happen.”

The company also announced last week that it would be releasing the first edition of HPE InfoSight for HPE 3PAR too. This new mix will enable the following:
Foundation for predictive support that can be used to detect anomalies, predict complex issues, and divert cases to Level 3 support.

Cross-stack analytics will enable IT to resolve performance issues and locate the root cause.

Global visibility. All remote 3PAR customers will have access to performance trending data, health checks, capacity predictions, as well as best practice recommendations.

“None of HPE’s competitors have the predictive capabilities of InfoSight,” said Global Head of Storage Backup at Baseform, Morten Nyhuus-Eriksen. “The cross-stack analytics will save my team tremendous time troubleshooting our complex environment. InfoSight 3PAR is going to make a big impact on our business and theirs.”

A few months ago HPE announced a deep learning platform.
